Working at Virtual

At Virual, there are new projects coming in all the time. Many of our employees tells us in their interviews how varied the projects are, which means that you will have to challenge yourself.
“I wanted to work at a place where you get to work on different projects, with a lot of variation and Virtual seemed to be the place. And It has been, I learn new things all the time.”
– Leander

Working at Virtual is described as varied, open and familiar.
“We are like a big family. We do so many projects together across all company and collaborate, which means that everyone has an important role in the company. We always work together, even if the customer only meets a few of us. There is always someone who knows a little more if I need help.”
– Anna

Virtual is a company where we work together and many who start choose to stay.
“It’s a good environment at the office, you can ask anyone at the office if you need help. There is a lot off knowledge in here. We have fun at work, there is a good balance between work and the social aspect at work.”
– Leander

We support an active life style

At Virtual, we want everyone to feel good and work actively with team building. Here are some examples of what we do annually:

Supporting an active lifestyle is important at Virtual, we do all types of exercise. We always want to try new things and be active. We run at lunch, train in the morning, paddle when it suits and much more.

Teambuilding is a big part of Virtual. We don´t just work as a team in our project we´re a team and help each other. The only time we might not be as helpful is if we´re on opposite teams in a challenge.

We have our own football team in Gothenburg, Team Virtual FC. In 2022 we placed ourselves in division 3. Virtual Manufacturing sponsors GAIS, you can find our logo on their kits. We also have tickets for ALL home games.

Every year we have different championships. Bowling, golf and go-cart are three of them. Maybe you will be next year’s winner!!! Other competitions we participate in are the Gothenburg Relay, Vasaloppet and Tough Viking.

Every year we go on a ski trip where we mix cooking, skiing and afterski with team building, skills transfer and business development. Here we get time to get to know each other.

Assembly & Production Flow

Leander Koenders

When did you start at Virtual?
I started almost a year ago, it all went really quick once I had made the decision to work at Virtual. One day I was in school and the next day I was in Sweden at Virtual. I had never been to Sweden before I started. The introduction was really good, everyone helped me get settled and made me feel very welcome. It’s not all companies where the CEO shows you the office at tells you to call if you have any problems.

What is your role at Virtual?
I’m a consultant at assembly and production, I have a wide variety of thing I do. It depends on what we sell and the customer wants. I do 2D layout, animation, process improvement and now I work a lot with Tulip. That is one of the good things with Virtual, I really like working with Tulip so they give me the opportunity to that.

What made you want to work at Virtual?
I wanted to work at a place where you get to work on different projects, with a lot of variation and Virtual seemed to be the place. And It has been, I learn new things all the time.

Has it been as you expected to work at virtual? What made it so or wasn’t so?
Yes and no, the variation has been what I expected. But we don’t always get to see the end of a project. We help the costumers with what they need to change but we’re not always the once to implant the change. That is one of the reasons I like to work with Tulip, with Tulip I get to work with the customer until the end.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?
A lot and very different, everything from 2D layout, product and logistic flow, animation in factories and now Tulip.

What is it like to work at Virtual?
It’s a good environment at the office, you can ask anyone at the office if you need help. There is a lot off knowledge in here. We have fun at work, there is a really good balance between work and the social aspect at work.

What is the best thing about working at Virtual?
Why not? You get to what you’re the best at and it improves you knowledge and you self.

What does the word together mean on Virtual?
We support each other, we all do our part and we have fun together.

Lean Manufacturing Products

Anna Andersson

When did you start at Virtual?
2014 started right after school and I feel like I’m hooked.

What is your role at Virtual?
Lean, all in all… Since I have been here for so many years, I know the different parts and I’m involved in many different types of projects. We are not so many at LMP so we help each other, if we have a big project so everyone helps. I started as a junior consultant, then I got new tasks as I went along and that’s what has made me stay. I get the opportunity to develop all the time, it’s very prestigeless.

What made you want to work at Virtual?
Ended up here when I was studying and was asked to stay. I did and I like it very much.

Has it been as you expected to work at virtual? What made it so or wasn’t so?
Didn’t have a lot of expectations since I had been here two months before I started, I knew what the culture and environment was like. That is why I choose to stay.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?
A lot of different projects, from material racks to completely new layouts. The sellers sell the projects then we come and implement, I get along very well with the customers and make sure that the relationships are good.

What is it like to work at Virtual?
It’s fun and varied. The sellers want to sell a lot and this means that there is always things to do, sometimes big projects come that feel impossible, it can be tough. But we’ll solve it together.

What is the best thing about working at Virtual?
Freedom and familiar. You can be paired with anyone, because it’s a slightly smaller company. The distance from me to sales manager or CEO is short and everyone communicates with everyone.

What does the word together mean on Virtual?
That it’s like a big family. We do so many projects together across all departments and collaborate, which means that everyone has an important role in the company.
